Minister Inspects Progress of Malé Commercial Harbour Relocation to Thilafushi
Minister visited the project site with MPL management and major importers
Thilafushi, 12 August 2026 – Minister of Economic Development, Transport and Trade Mohamed Saeed inspected the ongoing development of the Malé Commercial Harbour relocation project at Thilafushi, accompanied by MPL representatives and some of the country's major importers.
During the visit, Minister reviewed the progress of the ongoing works and observed developments at the site as preparations continue for the establishment of the new commercial harbour at Thilafushi.
The project is scheduled for completion in November 2027.
