MPL and Ministry Meet with Clearing Agents Regarding Port Relocation Project
To brief on project progress and the transition of port operations.
Malé, 2 August 2026 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), together with the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, held a meeting with clearing agents to discuss the relocation project to Thilafushi.
During the meeting, they were brief regarding the progress of the project and preparations for the transition of port operations from Malé to Thilafushi. The meeting provided the clearing agents opportunity to engage with the MPL and the Ministry regarding their concerns and give feedback for the project.
MPL will continue engaging with key industry stakeholders as part of its efforts to ensure a coordinated and smooth transition to Thilafushi.
