Hulhumale International Terminal is a strategic venture of MPL consisting terminal facilities fully compliant with ISPS standards. The terminal is pivotal in maintaining a smooth flow of cargo to prevent container congestion at Male’ Commercial Harbor. It plays an important role in catering to the economic activities and growth resulting from the urban development and housing projects currently under development on Hulhumalé Island. Currently the terminal has an open storage volume of 500TEUs along with two warehouses of 100x30ft and 5 plug points for reefer containers. The port is considered as the main hub for handling and storing perishable cargo. With a total berth length of 180m, HMT operates with state-of-the-art, regularly maintained equipment in its efforts to assure the safety of cargo and persons. HMT provides customers with vehicles from the port for rent along with express and re-shifting services.
