ISPS Gate opened in Uligan

Uligan (18th September 2024 ) - The Uthuru ISPS Gate was officially inaugurated in a ceremony held in Uligan, marking a significant milestone for Uthuru Maritime Services (UMS). The gate was opened by retired Magistrate Idhrees Adam of Uligan, signifying the expansion of maritime services in the northern region of the Maldives. By opening this facility, Uthuru Maritime Services (UMS) aims to make vessel operation accessible and streamline the maritime services in the northern region of the Maldives. This project not only helps boost the local economy by attracting more ships but also strengthens the role of Maldives as an important hub for maritime activities in the international markets. Uthuru Maritime Services (UMS), launched by MPL, provides a wide range of maritime services. These services include pilotage, tug services, crew changes, provisions and equipment supply, ship maintenance and repairs, STS services, speed boat/launch services, water bunkering, lubricating and hydraulic oil supply, docking, underwater services, marine salvage, waste collection and reception, and sea marshal services. To enhance customer convenience, a dedicated website for UMS has been launched, providing easy access to all necessary information regarding the services in one central location.
