Third cycle of Modern Port Management course commences
The opening ceremony for the third cycle of the Modern Port Management course was held today at the MPL head office.
The CEO of MPL, Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim, the Managing Director of Maldives State Shipping - MSS Ahmed Shareef, and the Deputy Controller of Maldives Immigration ,Ahmed Ashfan, attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony Chief Corporate Officer of MPL, Aishath Shimla stated MPL is united in the effort to provide adequate learning and development oppurtunities for company's employees.
" The competitors among us should be healthy, and the competition for gaining knowledge is the best kind you can engage in. This training is a reminder that you are not alone in the journey. We stand together, not just as colleagues, but as a family that learns, grows and thrives together," Shimla said.
The 18-month-long course will be conducted by UN Trade and Development. The first modules of the course will be delivered by Mr. Joe Hiney, Director of Bremore Port Company, and Mr. Tomasz Kulaga, Information Systems Officer at UNCTAD.
Participants include employees from MPL, MSS, and Maldives Immigration.
