Male’ (19th May) – Maldives Ports Limited, along with other relevant partners, successfully completed the delivery of the first Sea-to-Air transshipment cargo today. MPL launched the Sea-to-Air cargo service in March 2024. This service seamlessly transitions sea cargo to air cargo, providing a versatile and efficient delivery solution. The first Sea-to-Air transshipment consignment consisted of 935 cartons of ready-made garments from Bangladesh, which will be delivered to Germany via Turkish Airlines. MPL has partnered with Maldives Airports Company (MACL), Maldives State Shipping (MSS), and Turkish Airlines to commence the Sea-to-Air Service.
