Geotechnical Survey Underway for Thilafushi Port Phase 1
Design and survey work progress ahead of Port Relocation Project
Malé, 29 March 2026 – Geotechical survey activities are currently underway as part of the design and survey work for phase 1 of the Thilafushi Port Project. The design and and survey for the project is being carried out by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) following the award of the project earlier this year.
As part of the scope, initial surveys for both the internation and domestic quay walls planned for development in Thilafushi have already been completed ahead of schedule. These milestones mark steady progress in the early stages of the project.
