Maldives Ports Limited and Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Sign MoU for Malé North Harbor Expansion
For improved port operations and connectivity in the capital
Malé, 4 June 2025 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the expansion of Malé North Harbor.
This agreement will extend MPL’s now existing boundaries to cover the areas adjacent to the current harbor, reaching the local fish market. This expansion will strengthen logistics efficiency and improve the coordination of harbor related activities.
This MoU reflects MPL’s ongoing efforts to improve port infrastructure and its service delivery.
