Malé, 21 October 2025 - Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) hosted delegates from the Sri Lanka-Maldives Business Council on 21st October 2025, ahead of their participation in the 19th Edition of Hotel Asia 2025 Exhibition and International Culinary Challenge in the Maldives.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss ways to strengthen economic and business ties between the two countries. MPL management and the delegates exchanged ideas on potential collaborative ventures and trade opportunities, with a focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation across the maritime, logistics, and hospitality sectors.

The discussions highlighted the importance of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and promoting cross-border trade and investment. Both MPL and the Business Council emphasized their commitment to exploring new avenues for collaboration, aiming to contribute to sustainable economic growth and stronger ties between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
