MPL Commences Fourth Batch of Internship Program

With 11 Interns

Malé, 16 November 2025 - Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) commenced the fourth batch of its Internship Program. The program officially began on 16th November 2025.

Batch 4 was selected through a screening process and started with an orientation session that introduced interns to program expectations, departmental roles, workplace conduct, and safety guidelines. Over the course of one month, participants will be placed across various MPL departments where they will learn the day-to-day operational tasks. Each intern will work under the guidance of an experienced mentor, ensuring personalized support as they develop practical skills and adapt to real workplace environments.

In addition to this, the interns will take part in a series of classroom-based sessions designed to strengthen foundational professional competencies. These sessions will include Business Writing, English Communication, First Aid, Basic Firefighting, Microsoft Office training, and Dhivehi Communication. This blended learning approach will help build communication skills, confidence, technical understanding, and overall workplace readiness.

By the end of the program, the interns are expected to demonstrate improved professionalism, stronger teamwork abilities, and a better understanding of organizational workflows. The experience supports their career growth by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
