A Joint Initiative with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts
Malé, 10 November 2025 - Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has officially inaugurated the 12th batch of its Apprenticeship Program, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts. The new batch commenced on 10th November 2025.
The Apprenticeship Program provides a unique opportunity for young participants to gain hands-on workplace experience, working alongside professionals across various departments within the port. Over a period of six months, apprentices will be immersed in real operational environments, receiving direct guidance from experts in their chosen fields.
By the end of the program, participants will be awarded an MQA approved Level 3 certificate in their respective field. In addition, participants demonstrating strong performance will be offered employment opportunities within MPL.
MPL continues to implement this program as part of its broader effort to equip Maldivian youth with practical skills, industry exposure, and pathways to meaningful careers in the maritime sector.
