MPL Launches MQA- Approved Level III Port Operations Training Program
To enhance operational skills and build a safety conscious workforce
Malé, 3 July 2025 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), through its Port Training Centre, is set to launch a new MQA approved Level III Certificate in Port Operations on 20th July 2025. This course has over 30 participants enrolled. The six-month program aims to upskill operational level staff in key areas of port management and logistics.
The course blends classroom learning with hands-on experience. Focusing on core areas such as port operations, communication, safety, and terminal management. The curriculum is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform effectively and confidently in modern port environments.
The sessions will be conducted by our experienced instructors:
• Aishath Shimla – Chief Learning and Development Officer
• Ahmed Inaan – Chief Dock Officer
• Mariyam Khushma Musthafa – LDD Specialist
• Ibrahim Visham Rasheed – Manager, Port Operations
All four instructors bring years of experience and knowledge in the maritime and logistics sector, ensuring participants both theoretical and applied learning.
In addition to this course, MPL has received MQA approval for two additional training programs, which are expected to begin soon:
• Certificate III in Health and Safety
• Certificate III in Port Supervision
These programs are part of MPL’s continued efforts to build a skilled, confident, and safety conscious workforce prepared for the ever-changing demands of modern port operations.
