MPL’s Cargo and Throughput Performance in March 2026
Over 10,700 TEUs handled alongside high volumes of perishables imports
Malé, 18 April 2026 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) handled 145,888 freight tons and recorded a total container throughput of 10,788 TEUs in March 2026. During the month, container operations included 4,515 container consignments and 1,968 conventional consignments. Vassal arrival recorded a total of 11 container vassals and 39 conventional vassals calling at Malé Commercial Harbor (MCH).
In terms of the container movement, during the month, MPL handled 5,482 TEUs unloaded and 5,306 TEUS loaded, bringing the total monthly throughput to 10,788 TEUs.
